Birds 04:03
Birds are singing all around, I think I know what that means. Birds are singing all around. I think it’s time to be free. To be anything is a task, to be nothing is worse, I think I can be like the bird, I think I just need one more verse. ‘Cuz when you feel like a stone, with no where to go, You can write up a place to call your own. And if it just won’t last, and the feeling has passed. You can call it home if it’s all your own. You can call it home if it's all your own. Birds stopped singing, I’m afraid. What’s the point? Time to make a change. Because you can’t spell heart without the art, I think it’s time we make a change ‘Cuz when you feel like a stone, with no where to go, You can write up a place to call your own. And if it just won’t last, and the feeling’s passed. You can call it home if it’s all your own. You can call it home if it's all your own ‘Cuz when you feel like a stone, with no where to go, You can write up a place to call your own. And if it just won’t last, and the feeling has passed. You can call it home if it’s all your own. You can call it home if it's all your own.

Far Away 03:39
These weren’t my intentions, I didn’t wanna start to cry Just give me five minutes, or I’ll come back a different time. She said, "No, stay. Don’t forget it’s still me you’re talking to." I said I fell in love at 16 but things are so much different since 22. So close your eyes, and stay the night. I know you’re headed far away come morning light. I can’t let a little space and time take away what should be mine. Let’s see this through. Theres not a world out there that stops me from meeting you, I swear it’s true. So close your eyes, and stay the night. I know you’re headed far away come morning light. And I know you’re going back there soon, and I know I’ll be waiting here. Like you haven’t made it clear. Like you haven’t made it clear. So close your eyes and stay the night. I know you’re headed far away. So close your eyes and stay the night. I know you’re headed far away. (I know you’re headed far away).

In Your Mind 04:05
I don’t think I wanna go here again, I don’t really wanna go back again, (again) I don’t think I wanna lose all my friends, I don’t really wanna lose it all again (again) What you’re here for, it’s all in your mind. What you’ll find is it’s all benign. Just take it slow, it’ll be alright …And Barry’s a barber, and Paul’s a professor, and Sarah’s a queen, and John’s under the weather, and Samuel the salesman, he writes them a letter, and tells them he sells them the ways to feel better. The easiest way to close the deal, is somehow convince you that nothing is real. What you’re here for, it’s all in your mind. What you’ll find is it’s all benign. Just take it slow, it’ll be alright What you'll find is What you'll find is What you'll find is it'll be alright It'll be alright

Gorgeous 02:58
Well I remember the night when we talked nothing more, you had two big beds I would’ve slept on the floor. And I hung around until three or four, five and six I won’t get sick of this, no way. And I remember that day when we kissed nothing else we were out with your friends they didn’t know how we felt but they were gonna know after that day. And I’ll keep gawking cause you’re gorgeous. When we're talking I want more of it. She’s so strong and she’s so smart, when I hold her close I can feel her heart and in her eyes all that I see is the only place I wanna be, ah yeah. And I remember that day when I shared my pain, she said "You can’t have the flowers without the rain." You made me feel alright you didn’t have to try. I was falling fast, I was falling hard I kept writing songs on my guitar. You made me feel alright, you didn’t have to try. And I’ll keep gawking cause you’re gorgeous. When we're talking I want more of it. She’s so strong and she’s so smart, when I hold her close I can feel her heart and in her eyes all that I see is the only place I wanna be, ah yeah. And I’ll keep gawking cause you’re gorgeous. When we're talking I want more of it. She’s so strong and she’s so smart, when I hold her close I can feel her heart and in her eyes all that I see is the only place I wanna be, ah yeah. The only place I wanna be, ah yeah.

I counted down the days until you’d come home. But that day never came and now I’m all alone. All these different ways I find, to try and bind my time. But somehow, you still find, your way across my mind. I try to find a way for this all to make sense. The hardest part is losing, my closest friend. I’ll take care of your life, for if you do come back. The pictures on the walls wonder, where you’ve been at. So go please, take your time. Whatever it is you’re looking for, I hope that’s what you find. The life you’re dreaming of, I just dont know the kind. Just do me a favor, and think of him next time. I thought of all the ways to rebuild and rebound. I listened to your complains, while you stood up on a mound. Of reasons and excuses, from the day that we met. All these things, that you’ve done, I’ll never forget. I ran on the beach like I was mad at the sand. I drank and drank that night till I could hardly stand. I tethered and neglected, put off who I met. But somehow I still have, zero regrets. So go please, take your time. Whatever it is you’re looking for, I hope that’s what you find. The life you’re dreaming of, I just don’t know the kind. Just do me a favor and think of him next time.

Interlude 00:36

Once I sat in front of you and I looked down the hall, I threw out all the medicine. I sat down in the living room and talked about myself. I thought about the medicine, you said that it would help. It’s all in front of you, all the things you do. ‘Cuz I don’t know what to do, it just makes no use, I can’t shake the view, that doesn’t belong. Once I got on medicine, I felt more myself. I stopped drifting off and out, I felt like I could help. I ran out of excuses to stop picking all of those fights, I realize sometimes I might need to take my own advice. It’s all in front of you, all the things you do, It makes no use, I can find my way through. ‘Cuz I don’t know what to do, it just makes no use, I can’t shake the view, that doesn’t belong. And I won’t pick a fight, or stay up late every night. I know now that things were never wrong. I was wrong.

And if I climb this mountain, then I’ll know how to fly. I wanna feel your motion, I’d love to see your eyes. So girl please don’t cry when you’re by my side, I feel just fine. But I ain’t ever coming back again. And if I swim the ocean, then I know I can’t die. I love the waves in motion, I’d love to see your eyes. So girl please don’t cry when you’re by my side, I feel alive. But I ain’t ever coming back again. And I will scale these boulders just meet me at the top. And when we get older I promise I will stop by just to listen to the things you wanna say. I wanna feel your motion, (you know I’m not afraid) Babe, I’m not going back again. And if climb this mountain. then I’ll have survived. But I can’t wait forever, because I’m still alive.
